MODSTOKE DISCORD APPS

Discord app terms

Terms for installing and using the Modstoke Sentinel and Modstoke Radio public previews in Discord servers.

Effective

Bot-specific supplement

OpenACAI operates Modstoke Sentinel and Modstoke Radio as public preview apps for Discord servers. These terms are a bot-specific supplement to the general OpenACAI terms. The Discord app privacy page explains the information the bots handle.

Server owners install the bots as server apps. Personal account installation is not supported. See installation and setup information for current features and limits.

Acceptable use

Use the bots lawfully and follow your server's rules, Discord's terms and applicable media-provider terms. Do not use them for spam, harassment, malware, evading moderation or other abuse. Do not attempt to bypass bot permissions, access controls or usage restrictions.

Only submit media you are authorized to share or play in the relevant setting. A supported URL or successful playback does not establish permission to use the material. The original provider's terms still apply.

Preview features and availability

The bots are provided as best-effort preview tools. Features, responses and playback may be unavailable, delayed, incorrect or changed as the team maintains them. Do not rely on a bot as the sole source of important information or as a guarantee of moderation coverage.

Radio depends on Discord, hosting and media-provider availability. Spotify cards link to the original site; they do not offer full Spotify playback in voice channels.

Moderation and appeals

Sentinel supports moderation and community features, but automated judgments can be wrong. Contact the moderators of the server where an action occurred to ask about or appeal it. Include the relevant message or action details so they can review it.

Server owners perform initial installation and configuration. Sentinel remains inactive until the owner configures welcome, moderator-log and updates channels; optional channels and role setup enable additional features. Bans and conversation features are off by default. Administrators control bot access and permissions. Advanced trap and statistics features require operator configuration and scoped permissions.

Removing a bot from the server requires an administrator with the necessary permissions. Sentinel's local cleanup on removal is described in the privacy policy; it does not delete Discord's copies.

Member controls and contact

Use /crew alerts to stop crew alerts and /companion quiet to opt out of companion interactions. These controls do not erase all moderation data. For data handling and deletion requests, follow the privacy contact instructions.

For questions about these terms, contact [email protected] or use the OpenACAI contact page.
